Restitution - Has Not Started

“Restitution” found just once in New Testament. Acts 3:19-21 Healing of lame man at the temple pictures greater healing of Christ’s kingdom

Restitution = Greek “apokatastasis; means reconstitution Diaglott = “times of restoration” NIV = “time comes for God to restore everything.” Lexicon = “the restoration not only of the true theocracy but also of that more perfect state of (even physical) things which existed before the fall”

Restitution implies a fall Man lost: Gen. 3:15-19,22-24 –Sonship –Communion and peace with God –Character likeness of God –Physical perfection –Everlasting life –Paradise home –Dominion over the earth

Man is still on plane R –Condemned and alienated from God Eph. 2:2,12 Israel still condemned under the Law –Still dead and waiting for the deliverer to turn away their ungodliness. Ezek. 37:9-10; Rom. 11:26-27

Question.--Would it be proper for us to suppose that the world might begin to receive its share of restitution blessings while some of the members of the Church are still in the flesh? Answer.--No! This would be an impossible thought. The whole merit of Christ is mortgaged by the imputation which Jesus has made of His merit to the company consecrating during this Age. This mortgage must be released fully, completely, before the New Covenant can be sealed and put into operation for giving Restitution blessings to Adam and his race. Hence, we are not to expect any Restitution, either of the Ancient Worthies or others, until the Little Flock shall have passed beyond the Veil and the Great Company class shall have passed through its tribulation. “Times of Restitution of all things” Preparation Restoration Final Judgment “Let no reader hastily conclude that there are no evidences of Restitution about us, nor that the Sun of Righteousness is not already gilding the watch towers of Zion and enlightening the world. … let him remember that the first work of Restitution is properly a breaking down of the old and decaying structure which stands in the place which the new is to occupy.” Vol. 2 p. 197 Project Perspective:

“Times of Restitution of all things” Preparation Restoration Final Judgment “And in the end of the age, when she is made "ready" (Rev. 19:7), the Bridegroom comes, and they that are ready go in with him to the marriage--the second Adam and the second Eve become one, and then the glorious work of restitution begins.” Vol. 1 p. 98 Legal and Relationship Perspective:

Restitution and the Church [8] This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, [9] to say to the captives, 'Come out,' and to those in darkness, 'Be free!' "They will feed beside the roads and find pasture on every barren hill. [10] They will neither hunger nor thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat upon them. He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water. [11] I will turn all my mountains into roads, and my highways will be raised up. Isa. 49:8-11 (NIV)

Restitution and Re-gathering of Israel Practical necessity to re-gather Israel. Legal standing and relationship with God has not changed. Israel still dead in their sins. Ezek. 37:8-9 God plants and builds Israel after the merit is applied. Jer. 31:27-30

Has restitution started – is a matter of perspective. The problem has been – trying to describe complex processes with a single phrase. The phrase we pick is not important. Manifesting the spirit of Christ and love is essential.
