WHY STUDY HISTORY? “Three quarters of the miseries and misunderstandings in the world would finish if people were to put on the shoes of their adversaries and understood their points of view” - Mohandas K. Gandhi Perspective – understanding differing points of views on the past. Why people did what they did and different ways we view those events. Connection – using past events to understand the present Application to our lives - Understanding the past hopefully makes us better global citizens in the world today!
