POSITIVE DEGREE IS USED WHEN THERE IS NO COMPARISON OR WHEN THE QUALITY IS SAME. This is a big pumpkin. The aircraft is moving as fast as the rocket.

Comparative degree is used when we compare two persons or things. The boy is taller than the girl.

The ball in the middle is the biggest of all. Superlative degree is the higest degree of comparison.It is used to compare more than two things. The ball in the middle is the biggest of all.

Adjectives with one syllable form comparative by adding ‘er’ and superlative by adding ‘est’. positive Sweet Sweeter Sweetest Small Tall Clever Kind Young Great

Adjectives ending with ‘e’ take only ‘r’and ‘st’ Brave Braver Bravest Fine White Large Able Noble Wise
