Presented by groups 7 & 8 (Jen, Julie, Sue, Eric, Huguette & Mark) Website Development

Website development can be very rewarding. However, for those educators who have taught website development to their students, they have found that it can be time consuming and very tedious for their students, and risks students focusing on technical development rather than the content they are communicating with the website. Chapter 8 Question 2

As an educator, how do we get students to focus on content rather than the technology?  Authentic learning experience  Link it to curriculum  Clear and precise goal

Focus on content Mapping out the pages in terms of functions, giving a general idea of content on each page and showing how users navigate from one page to another. Wireframing and/or Storyboarding Deciding what the website will look like using colors, features, and layout. Design and Layout Creating the tables, inserting the images and photos, inserting the interactive elements, and any other features. using the website development tool of choice. Development
