Engineering Pathways Program 2011 Nuriootpa High School Coordinator: Mike Jones
Engineering Pathways Program Nuriootpa High School is a member of the State Engineering Pathways Program and offers a certificate in Engineering from the National Industry Training Package. Students study a variety of SACE subjects and at the same time gain certification in industry standard training. Students involved in the program attended TAFE for several days. Students do 4 weeks Work Placement in stage 1 and 2 weeks in stage 2
Subjects for EPP Australian Studies 2 units English 1 unit Mathematics Materials Products B: Metals 1 Materials Products B: Metals 2 Physics 1 Automotive Electronics: soldering Technology Work Education 2 Free Choice subject (from 4 which must be selected)
Many students have successfully gained apprenticeships. Students who wish to do this program will need to write an application then attend an interview with Mike Jones. There will be a special information night for parents and students later this term.
