Alternative Reporting IRVMC RNA 2003 Federal Register: “The Coast Guard encourages the submission of alternative reporting methods. It is the Coast Guard’s hope that companies will embrace current modern technology as it becomes available to automatically report the locations of towing vessels and the CDC barges they are responsible for directly to the Coast Guard in real or as close to real time as possible.”
