Lesson 8 Getting Photos off your camera Basic photo editing Creating a Picasa Web Album

Getting Photos off your Camera First – open the folder into which you are going to copy the photos (C:User/Photos/2011/ ) Move this window to the lower-right part of your screen. Connect your camera to computer or plug memory card into computer Open a window for the camera’s memory chip and move it to top-left part of the screen Navigate to the photo folder Select the photos you want to copy Click and drag them to the hard drive window

Cautions Never delete photos from the camera’s memory until you are sure that they have been safely copied Copy them to a back-up media (e.g. CD or DVD) before deleting them from camera Never delete the LAST photo on the memory card so as to maintain the correct ‘count’ for photo numbers.
