 Female Full Time Student, 17  Lives in Canberra  Lives with her parents and two sisters  Does not have a part time job but participates in volunteer work  Participates in weekend social activities with her family and friends  Kathleen enjoys wearing the latest trends and being fashion forward. She is of average height but is a plus size and has a small waist for her size.

 Kathleen enjoys being able to go out shopping with her friends but has trouble with the fit of pants and tops due to her smaller waist  Her clothes need to allow her to carry out her student duties and help out her community  As a full time student Kathleen does not have large amounts of money that she can spend on clothing and alterations  Our One Garment Alteration would suit Kathleen’s needs: this allows for Kathleen to buy clothes with the money that she has and only have to pay an additional fee that matches the work required.

 Female Office Administrator, 21  Lives in Canberra  Lives with her boyfriend and pet cat  Works Monday to Friday and participates in social activities on weekends  Travels to visit her family who live interstate and her boyfriends family who live overseas  Alicia likes to always look young and presentable whether she is at work or out on the weekend. She is shorter than average and has a very petite frame, shopping is difficult for her as she can not often find garments that fit her how they should.

 Presentation is of the utmost importance to her personally and in her workplace  Alicia enjoys shopping but does not enjoy the hassle of having to find a place to have her clothes altered afterwards  As she sits between a women's size 6 and size 8 every item of her clothing has to be altered  Our Bulk Alteration would suit Alicia’s needs: since all of her garments need altering being able to purchase them and have them altered straight away allows Alicia to have a wardrobe filled with garments that fit perfectly and keeping her looking presentable.

 Full Time Mother, 36  Lives in Batemans Bay  Married with 5 children aged 3 months-12 years  Participates in activities with her family on weekends  Runs errands through the week while her older children attend school and her husband is at work  Kerrie is an active woman and her availability is strictly limited to Monday – Friday during school hours (9am – 3pm) while three of her children attend pre-school and school. However, she is slightly shorter than average and often has trouble when it comes to the length of pants.

 Due to a strict time schedule Kerrie needs to be able to accomplish everything within her set time frame.  As a mum who is constantly on the move with young children, her clothes have to keep up with her mobility needs.  With 6 hours in a day to complete her errands, personal shopping is often limited.  Our Bulk Alteration would suit Kerrie’s needs: she can complete her shopping within her time frame and not have to lose time trying to get her clothes altered, she can pick them up when they are complete and being able to have more than one garment altered allows her to keep moving without tripping up on the bottom of her pants.

 Female Retiree, 66  Lives in Culburra Beach  Married with 3 adult children, all with families of their own  Full time carer to her husband  Occasionally travels to visit her children  Sandra stays at home with her husband and occasionally travels to visit her children and grandchildren who live interstate.

 Being a carer means that Sandra needs to be able to move around easily  Sandra gets to the nearest town once a week to do her groceries and any other shopping  She does not have the money to be able to spend on alterations to her clothes  Our One Garment Alteration would suit Sandra: this allows Sandra to buy what she needs as she needs it and it does not cost her anything extra than the item of clothing itself and she is available to pick it up when it is ready or when she next gets to town.

 Female Business Executive, 47  Lives in Canberra  Married with 3 children aged 9 years-11 years  Attends many work meetings both locally and nationally.  Participates in social activities with her husband and children on weekends.  With little time to spend to herself/on her own, she has no time to run around and arrange to have her clothing altered.

 As a respected executive, Helen, always has to be presentable and look like the professional that she is.  When at home she likes to be able to spend her time with her family, which leaves little time to shop let alone run about town trying to get her clothes altered and altered quickly.  Helen often has to leave town at little notice and always needs to be prepared  Our Priority Alteration would suit Helen’s needs: When Helen does shop she can organise for her clothing to be altered upon purchase, this allows her to spend her free time with her family and always be prepared for work whether she is required to be in town or interstate.

 Crossroads is a successful women’s retail chain. The store offers fashion to women of varying ages and sizes which makes them fair competition to the larger retailers. The store boasts affordable prices which keep it popular among the women of Australia.
