VILLIERS

To promote independent learning at home and in class. Students are to research, share and teach new vocabulary to the rest of the class via presentations and small group work. Bridging the Gap in MFL (Villiers Park)

OUR IDEAL GOAL!

Questionnaire Please rate yourself on a scale of 1 – 5 on each of the following questions, where 1 is least able / confident and 5 is most. 1.How often do you use your initiative to contribute in class? 2.How do you rate your note taking? 3.How confident are you speaking in the target language? 4.How confident are you understanding listenings in the target language? 5.How good are you at using reference materials with classwork and homework? 6.How confident are you at making contributions in class?

What did we do with the results? Students gave themselves a mark out of 5 A copy of the completed questionnaire were given to the students. Each lesson the students had to refer to the questionnaire and choose a target for that lesson.

What did we do with the results? During the lesson each time they hit their target they got a point. POINTS MEAN PRIZES!!

How did this change our teaching? It made sure that the students were focussed on their target throughout the lesson.
