Materials pH Strips (at least 4) Monster Energy Drink Lime Juice Pepsi Hydrochloric Acid Clock 4 Bowls Gram Scale 12 Coffee Filters 12 Eggs Pin Measuring Cup

Procedure 1.Set Up (See Diagram) 2.Weigh eggs after they are blown out and record weight and description in the two tables 3.Measure substances using pH strips, measure out one cup and pour into clear cups and/or glasses 4.Put eggs in substances, come back seven hours later and take eggs out, put in coffee filters 5.Weigh each egg in a coffee filter on the scale,average if needed 6.Record egg descriptions 7.Dump substances and repeat steps 1-7 two more times for trials 2 and 3 8.Safety: Dont get substances on open cuts

Problem How does soaking eggshells for 7 hours in caffeine and acidic pH content substances affect an eggshell?

Hypothesis As I soak the eggshells in different substance of Acidic and Caffeine pH content for seven hours then the lime will dissolve the eggshell most because lime is the most acidic.
