Political -Took control of Georgia -Made laws that prevented torture and let peasants buy themselves out of serfdom -Gave Russia a constitution
Political -Made the eight ministries so that Russia would have a more stable government -Gained land as part of Poland and Warsaw -Tried to abolish serfdom but failed
Political -Formed an alliance with Francis I of Austria and Fredrick William III of Prussia, otherwise known as the Holy Alliance -The purpose of this alliance was to promote the influence of Christian principles in the affairs of nations -Sadly it accomplished little and became the symbol of conservatism and repression in Central and Eastern Europe
