Collaboration & Integration Learning strategies and innovative technologies work hand-in-hand: Students produce multi- media via a student- run three-camera, green screen web-streaming studio Students also produce on- location event streaming

Integration/Collaboration Integration / Collaboration Strategies: Students produce e- portfolios of published print, web, audio and visual multimedia work samples.

Collaboration On-site Strategies: Common presentation / discussion period for all media production classes Global Media, Reporting and Writing and Visual Journalism students are also invited to meet at this time.

Integration/Collaboration / Globalization Virtual and On-site Collaboration: Students work together and receive mentoring Monday - Thursday from 12:30 to 6 p.m. in the student-run, multi-media newsroom. Students also provide peer-to-peer mentoring virtually via Skype, Google + and various social networks.

Globalization We’re developing global friendships: Better World students are current guests to our digital journalism program. Ukrainian students graduated and are working in new media. Presenting at GLOBALEDCON November 15, 8 p.m. PST.GLOBALEDCON

10 Steps to Multimedia Packaging Step 1: Identify storytelling multimedia design elements. Step 2: Decide what topic you will report; Plan your package. Step 3: Identify the story’s focus; Determine best use of multimedia to tell the story.

Step 4: Create your Google site. Step 5: Begin news gathering 10 Steps to Multimedia Packaging

Step 6: Write your story and conduct your Interviews. Step 7: Create additional multimedia elements to tell the story. 10 Steps to Multimedia Packaging

Step 8: Finalize all multimedia Elements. Step 9: Edit and rewrite all multimedia elements-Submit. Step 10: Present your projects.
