TASKPROCESSRESOURCESEVALUATIONCONCLUSIONTEACHERINTRO Study Guide

TASKPROCESSRESOURCESEVALUATIONCONCLUSIONTEACHERINTRO Introduction Your heart is a muscle. It pumps blood throughout your entire body. The heart works very hard and depends on you to keep it functioning properly. Lack of exercise and an improper diet makes your heart work harder. What healthy habits can you develop to make your heart’s job easier?

TASKPROCESSRESOURCESEVALUATIONCONCLUSIONTEACHERINTRO Task You will create a health and fitness plan to help support your heart’s job of maintaining a proper blood flow throughout your body. As teams you will: 1)Develop an exercise plan that will strengthen your heart. 2)Plan a heart healthy diet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

TASKPROCESSRESOURCESEVALUATIONCONCLUSIONTEACHERINTRO Process You will work in small groups. Choose exercises from the following links and create an exercise plan for a healthy heart that includes three or more cardio exercises. Choose foods from the following links and create a balanced menu for breakfast, lunch, or dinner that will support a healthy heart. Cite specific links used to support/develop your plan. Demonstrate or create a poster outlining your exercise plan. Present a visual representational of a meal from your menu. (ex. poster, video, prepare meal for class)
