There are distractions such as friends in traditional schools, but there are many more distractions at home. Not only the video games and TV, but also the freedom of not having a teacher right by your side while learning, causing students to lose focus. Home schooled students are typically taught by their parents, or someone very close to them. Parents are often too occupied to ensure that their kids even get their school work done, thus; moving back deadlines and a home schooled student losing all responsibility. 3 Main Points

In 1997, a study of 5,402 home school students from 1,657 families was released The study demonstrated that homeschoolers, on the average, out-performed their counterparts in the public schools by 30 to 37 percentile points in all subjects.(Hsdla Oct, ) Approximately 4 millon children currently being homeschooled in the U.S., along with a 15- to 20-percent yearly growth rate.(CBN 2007)

No one ever said home schooling was easy, or did they? Home schooling in many aspects has proven to give a student more emotional freedom and a better stand point of life.
