QR CODES FOR BUSINESS

QR Code (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) first designed by a Toyota subsidiary in 1994 to identify car engines. More recently, the system has become popular outside of the industry due to its fast readability and large storage capacity compared to standard UPC barcodes. QR CODES GOOGLE SEARCH INSIGHTS The following graph shows the amount of interest in the search phrase ‘QR Codes’ since 2004 showing the main growth in searches happening over the past two years. As of today, there are around 888 million results on Google for the search ‘QR Code’ and around 19,000 on YouTube.

Create unique campaign tracking codes using the Google Analytics URL Builder so you can view your site stats for each QR Code. 2.Use one of the free online URL shortening such as bitly.com or goo.gl so your URL will have fewer characters and, as a result, produces a QR code that has fewer but larger pixels. As a result, it's easier to “snap” goo.gl provides tracking on QR codes, but all goo.gl URLs and click analytics are public and can be accessed by anyone.
