6 511 System Updates Maryland Statewide 511 SystemMaryland Statewide 511 System  RFP issued in May 2009  Currently working on changing the funding source for this procurement  Vendor selection decision expected in the 1 st quarter of 2010  System expected to launch in late 2010

7 511 System Updates Washington D.C.Washington D.C.  The District has plans to integrate its information with either the Virginia or the Maryland 511 Systems.  Currently the District provides data to RITIS (Regional Integrated Transportation Information System )  RITIS is working to automate data sharing, dissemination, and archiving of transit and transportation management data in Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.

Reauthorization and ITS AASHTO supports a new Operations and Management program---$3B per year RD&T : increase ITS to $150 m per year; increase the safety RD&T pots of all the modes; Implement SHRP ---reliability and safety $50 m per year for VMT user fee pilots Performance based programs
