Policy 2510 Update The teaching of foreign languages in grades 5 and 6 is encouraged. A foreign language course, in the same foreign language, must be offered for students in grade 7 and grade 8. Implementation of the foreign language program should model best practice and promote positive proficiency outcomes. FAQ Document
Policy Update The Foreign Language Content Standards, Objectives (CSOs) are designed to provide guidance for: the development of foreign language curricula the selection of instructional materials the evaluation of students learning and professional development opportunities. While teachers are responsible for developing curriculum maps and for selecting specific content and learning activities, this document is intended to guide local curriculum development.
