Carbohydrates Carbohydrates Provides quick energy Best source : -whole grain, vegetables, fruit, beans Simply digested : -white bread, white pastries, white rice, sugar sodas 2 kinds : -Simple -Complex

Describe as : -simple sugar and lollipop Found in : -refined sugar, like white sugar, fruit, milk Simple sugars from fruit and milk contain vitamins, such as fiber and calcium -A lollipop doesn’t have any nutrition in it

-starches Include : -bread, crackers, pasta, and other grain products Whole grain food gives one energy over a longer period of time Refined grain makes one feel hungry again soon

Vitamin A-K : -VA found in carrots, helps the vision -VB found in leafy green vegetables, create energy -VC found in oranges, helps healing cuts/wounds -VD found in milk, helps the bones -VE found in nuts and seeds, protect the lungs -VK found in broccoli, it’s the clot master.
