Housekeeping During the meeting: Please be courteous to your colleagues. Refrain from discussions during the session, or please share your thoughts with the group. Others may benefit from your comments. Deadline to submit all paperwork for the next payroll: Monday, May 12 –Quickpays are reserved for hardship cases. Requests must go to Diane Rodrigues with a justification. –Suggestion: Send bi-annual communications to hiring faculty reminding them of the real deadlines for payroll. Policy regarding suspended faculty Faculty with term appointments less than two years in length will be terminated at the end of the appointment. Requests for exceptions may be submitted at the time of the appointment and must be approved by the cognizant provost. If the faculty member had been eligible for benefits and is placed in a suspended status, the benefits will be terminated. The faculty member will therefore receive a Cobra letter.
Update on suspended faculty Thank you for your prompt response to our queries! The number of suspends has been reduced from over 500 to approximately 130. We will continue to run lists throughout the summer as faculty roll into suspend status. Then, each semester until we convert to Workday.
Update to faculty forms Faculty Promotion Form and Faculty Reappointment Form have been merged into one form: Faculty Appointment Form –Use for secondary appointments –Use for reactivating faculty who were terminated within one year Faculty Data Collection Form has been split into two parts –Part 1 contains appointment information –Part 2 contains faculty biographical information Summer Compensation –Recently updated by Abby Scott in the Provost’s Office –Problems with the form go to Abby Scott –Completed forms go to both Kathy Schoonmaker and Abby Scott in the Provost’s Office
