4 March Testing Date Reminders: –Wednesday, April 16, 2008 – All School Test Coordinators should have information entered into IEA for Incidents and Exemptions. (March 2008 testing only) –Friday, April 18, 2008 – By Close of Business, all Incidents and Exemptions must be approved by DTC and sent to DOE. No entries received after this date will be approved. –Friday, May 16, 2008 – Last day for receipt of DSTP- OR V9.0 applications or password resets. All requests received after this date will begin to be processed Tuesday, May 27, 2008 with a hour turnaround time. –Week of May 19, 2008 – March 2008 test scores will be released. –For Data Review information see June date reminders

5 DSTP Date Reminders May Testing Date Reminders: –Thursday, May 8, 2008 – All data updated for supplemental label run –Monday, May 12, 2008 – Data sent to Pearson for Supplemental Labels for May 2008 testing. –Friday, May 16, 2008 – Date data review form will be available on the Test Coordinator website. –Friday, May 16, 2008 – Delivery of supplemental labels. –Thursday, May 22, 2008 – Final date that DOE will accept Supplemental Request. Labels will be ordered by Close of Business on this date. –Tuesday, May 27, 2008 – Supplemental Labels to be shipped to schools. –Thursday, May 29, 2008 – Shipment of Scorable test documents for May 2008 testing.

This does not include missing scores/booklets or score review requests. –Friday, June 13, 2008 – Final date that DSTP data will be updated from Data Review. With the exception of missing booklets or score reviews. –Friday, June 13, 2008 – DSTP Online Reports V9.0 data will be updated with any final data changes. –Friday, June 20, 2008 – Last day for receipt of AYP applications for access to the DDOESSO AYP application or password resets. All request received after this date will begin to be processed Monday, June 30, 2008 with a hour turnaround time.

This does not include missing scores/booklets. –Friday, July 11, Review requests (appeals) pursuant to the regulations due to DOE for school accountability. –Monday, July 21, 2008 – Score Reviews received from Pearson. –Thursday, July 31, 2008 –DSTP Online Reports V9.0 data will be updated with any final data changes.

11 Data Review Form Standardized form to request review of DSTP data, booklets, or scores. Different types of Data Review: –Review of DSTP Scores (i. e. PL0, PL9, duplicate scores, etc.. ) –Potential Missing score/booklet –Score Review for student based on criteria discussed later in PPT. Specific deadlines for Data Review will be enforced. All requests for data review must be received from the District Test Coordinator only.

15 Score Review – Criteria Score reviews can only be requested for the following: –Grade 3 reading –Grade 5 reading –Grade 8 reading, math –Grade 10 reading, math, writing For Reading and Math must be within 12 scale score points of the cut score for the next performance level Must also have acceptable rationale for the request of the score review, i.e. there must be an academic reason to have expected the student to receive a higher score Must use Data Review form to request Score Review.

17 DSTP Missing Score/Booklets

18 Missing Score/Booklet – Criteria Review will be completed by DOE to determine if there is a missing score or booklet. All requests for Missing Score/Booklet must be received by August 8, 2008 The following information will need to be provided by the district in order to initiate a missing score or booklet search: 1. Was this student scheduled to take any make up sessions? 2. Is it possible that the student responded in more than one test booklet/response booklet? 3. Is there a special handling envelope for this student? 4. Did the student take the Braille, Large print, Spanish, or Kurzweil version? 5. Did the student use an alpha smart or computer for any responses? 6. Was any incident report submitted for this student? 7. Did you check your attendance records for all testing days and makeup sessions to verify that the student was present for all sessions?

19 Promotion/Retention Final Due Date Phase IFriday, June 27, 2008An update on promotion/retention status can be made in this first wave for any student not awaiting summer test results, e.g., students with disabilities who are placed in the next grade, students who meet Other Academic Indicators to demonstrate proficiency. Phase IIFriday, September 12, 2008 An update on promotion/retention status must be completed by this date for all students still on the review list (via DSTP online reports). The student lists for review in Phase II will take into account the student scores on the summer retest. Students who receive a performance level 2 or higher are removed from this list. The grade-level status in DELSIS must be changed for any student who is retained.
