System Improvements In June 2010, Long Term Solution (LTS) was deployed for Chapter 33 processing October – December 2010, LTS added the features of: Introduced pre-populated award letters VAONCE enrollments started to pre-populate into LTS Payment and authorization section so VCEs could allow for payments to automatically generate from LTS to BDN

System Improvements March 2011 – December 2011, LTS Release Updates to include Public Law Modifications of the Post-9/11 GI Bill: Included changes in payment rules (Public Schools: net cost for in-state tuition and Public Schools: $17,500 cap rate/yr.) Allows for payments of Licensing & Certification Tests and National Exams Kicker payments are received on a monthly basis Payments to Non-College Degree (Non IHL) schools, Flight Training, On-the-Job Training, Apprenticeship Programs, and Correspondence Updates to system letters include “75B” letter to schools

System Improvements October 2011, Flight, On-the-Job training, Correspondence, and Apprenticeship System (FOCAS) was deployed January 23, 2012, claimants using Survivor’s and Dependent’s Educational Assistant Program (Chapter 35) can receive direct deposit

Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) VRAP is apart of the VOW to Hire Heroes Act of 2011 Purpose: To offer 12 months of training assistance to unemployed veterans Program is limited: 45,000 participants during FY ,000 participants during 10/01/12 to 03/31/14
