Every story has a point of view. To determine the story ’ s point of view, you need to determine the narrator of the story.

We are going to review three types of point of view.

First Person Third Person Limited Third Person Omniscient

First Person I looked at the new school and turned to see my little sister. Andrea ’ s face told me that she was as nervous as I was about starting this new school. Third Person Limited Sally was nervous as she looked at the new school. She turned to look at her sister and Andrea ’ s face told her that she was nervous as well. Third Person Omniscient Sally and Andrea looked at the new school and both felt nervous about starting the new school.
