Peripheral Vision Peripheral Vision is a project aimed at everyone, especially those on the edge of society. Through the innovative use of new digital media and visits to cultural venues in Greater Manchester and beyond, learners have had the opportunity to take part in film, art, creative writing, photography, and textiles courses within their communities.

What lessons have I learnt? Choose the project title with care! The initial project idea may change in unexpected ways. Both people, and courses, need structure and direction. Organising the transport was, at times, hellish. On-line data collection is random and unpredictable. Tutors and Learners need lessons in Word Press.
The best bits: Small class size Meeting some of the learners The excellent workshops at the cultural venues Enthusiasm of the WEA tutors Community partners’ engagement and support
Thank you Matt Manning and Michelle Wicked The WEA tutors The volunteers: David Dennehy, Hannah & Richard The film-makers: Rachael Field, Michael Barnes- Wynters, Matt Kowalczuk, Ben Mottershead, John Grey, Colin Warhurst & Phil McDuff Amanda Croome, Dawn Haworth, Ed Watts & Jamie Moloney Richard Weltman (magazine design) Cultural venues (workshop artists) Community partners
But most of all, thank you to… …all of the Peripheral Vision learners: Your enthusiasm has been infectious! Your commitment has been great! Your creativity has been inspirational! You are a credit to yourselves, your family and friends, your communities and WEA. Thank you
