The Age of Imperialism Posters 20 Points

Directions You are to Select a Group of 4-5. Each group will be assigned one of the following Empires/regions: Africa, Ottoman Empire, India, SE Asia, China, Japan, & Pacific Islands. Assign Roles: 2 Researchers/Presenters, 2- 3 Drawers. You will have two days to complete your poster. All of the information can be found in your book.

Your Poster Must Include… 1) A map of the region with each empires’ possessions color coded. 2)Pictures of the Heads of State and Rebellion Leaders. 3) An Explanation of why the empires took over that region (interests). 4) Who were the Oppressed people, organized rebellions & their leaders? 5) The Actions (diplomacy, laws, etc.)& Conflicts 6) What are the long-term results of the imperialism?

Imperialism Questions 15 pts. Answer in complete sentences with specifics from the posters. 1) What are the most common reasons (interests) for empires to expand? 2) What were the most common results (short and long term) of imperialism for the empire and the oppressed regions? 3) Which 2 regions received the most attention from the Empires? Why? *All responses must be typed (12 pt font, 2x space).
