3 facts about Galapagos penguins Galapagos penguins are the third smallest penguins on Earth and the smallest of South American penguins. They are the only penguins that live in the northern hemisphere. Male and female Galapagos penguins form pair bonds for life.

Why is it going extinct? Galapagos penguins are going extinct due to food shortages and global climate change. Also they suffer from habitat lost, invasive species introduced by humans and pollutions.

How can we protect them? We can protect Galapagos penguins by building shelters for them and reduce greenhouse gas emission and pollutions from global warming.

Why should we protect them? Galapagos penguins provide economic value to humans through tourism. Also the extinction of Galapagos penguins would cause disturbance and lead to an unbalanced biodiversity and ecosystems that could potentially affect us.
