 Tom interned at Integrated Medical Care in the Summer of  His job was to locate inactive patient’s files which were stored throughout hundreds of boxes by using trial and error.  It was possible for it to take multiple hours to find one patient’s file because weren’t organized.

 All inactive patient’s files must be held for 7 years since their last visit  Patient’s inactive files were thrown into the boxes  To find the file, you had to search through each box.  Very time consuming and unorganized  Need a more organized way to locate patient’s files when they need medical information

 Provide the company with a list of the most used insurance companies.  Sort which doctors can treat specific injuries, and show how busy they currently are.  Show the most common types of injuries treated, to help keep inventory up to date.  Get reports of when files can be discarded (after 7 years).

 The database will increase efficiency, and increase organization throughout the company.  This database will give IMC a way to locate files in a matter of minutes rather than hours.
