BIG Local Trust

Vision To enable people to make their communities better places to live in, now and in the future, by helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to identify priorities that matter to them and to take action to change things for the better. We will achieve this by setting up an England-wide endowment trust that will support local funding schemes in 100 to 150 selected neighbourhoods.

Awards for All Projects must meet at least one of the following outcomes: 1.People have better chances in life 2.Stronger communities 3.Improved rural and urban environments 4.Healthier and more active people and communities

Common Mistakes Applying for excluded items (see page 8 of guidance notes) Incomplete applications (64%) Not returning correct documents at conditional offer stage (50%) Not meeting programme outcomes – often more suited to another Lottery distributer Insufficient evidence of need
