3 Definition of Market Transformation Market Effect: a change in the structure or functioning of a market or the behavior of participants in a market that results from one or more energy efficiency program efforts. – Typically, these efforts are designed to increase the adoption of energy-efficient products, services, or practices, and are causally related to market interventions. Market Transformation: Market effects that persist once supporting programs are terminated
