PROGRESS WITH IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DELIVERY AGREEMENT 7

CONCLUSION While good progress was made on set targets (numbers and percentages), in most instances the developmental impact is still to be measured; In addition, the full extent of the infrastructure backlogs in rural areas is still to be quantified and costed; Most jobs created thus far have been work opportunities and collaboration is required with other Outcomes to attain more sustainable jobs; Although the land acquisition targets have been exceeded during this reporting period, the challenges facing land reform remain; What remains to be done, is interventions to increase productivity on farms acquired; market access; provision of technical and financial support to the new farmers; Relations have significantly improved between DAFF and DRDLR and for each of the outputs under Outcome 7, a DDG from DAFF has been assigned to work with DRDLR and under Output 5, which is a coordinating output, DG: DAFF and DG:DRDLR are leading. 8
