Once upon a time there was a poor boy. His name was James. He lived in a small village on a hill.

James worked on a farm and he loved his job even if it was very hard, but unfortunately his mother wasn't well.

He’d lost his dad when he was only a child and he’d had to look after his three younger sisters. He earned very little and he couldn’t afford the medical expenses.

One day, the famous crown diamond was stolen. It was the Bermuda's Diamond and it had great value.

The king was desperate and promised a big reward to the man who found the diamond. So James decided to leave his home to find the Bermuda's Diamond and use the money to nurse his mother.

The journey started the following Sunday from the castle at eight o'clock a.m.

Before leaving James wrote a message to his family: Dear mum, I left the country because I want to find the Bermuda's Diamond to get the King’s reward. I'll use it for your health and our family. Dear little sisters, Please look after our mother while I am not here. I rely on you. Love, James”.

The day was clear and the sun was shining. James started his adventure with hope and confidence, but menacing clouds were on the horizon...
