The Human Soul Mind - Intellect Emotions Will - Volition The emotions are a response of how we feel about the thought. In some cases our emotional reaction can be a sin just as our mental attitude can be a sin.

Our emotions trigger our human will to take action on what enters our mind. We decide to follow our will instead of asking God to help do His will.

Avoid committing sins of pride, envy, jealousy, etc. and mental attitude sins Don’t respond to thoughts with “I think, I feel, I want” but what does God want me to think, to feel and to do? Can ask, “What Would Jesus Do?” When you catch yourself in a thought that is wrong, ask for God’s forgiveness With your emotions, remember that the emotions are real but that we often make bad choices based on feelings and not on the Word of God and with what the Holy Spirit is telling us. Bring your thoughts into captivity – and start to develop the mind of Christ!
