G ENERAL P OST O FFICE It was first erected in1803 in Bolton Street. The cost of it was $ It was opened by Senator Drake. It was built out of sandstone. There was two domes made from copper on the top building. In 1970 this building was cleaned up for the Royal visit. It is still functioning as an main Post Office It has only been a post office.
C OURT H OUSE It was created by Walter Bovon in 1890 and opened in It is a large and creamy colour. Queen Victorias bus can be seen on the building. In 1890 the coat of arms was put on the building. The Entrance is large! The Chimneys are a reminder. It is a Two story building (symmetrical)
A RT G ALLERY It was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 11/3/1977. It cost 1.34 billion dollars. Made out of Gosford Sandstone. It was designed by A.W gardener next to the War Memorial. It has traditional and contemporary B art. It’s paintings are early new. They are constantly changing exhibition.
C ITY H ALL It was designed by Henry.E. White. It is a classical building. It is built from Sandstone. It was opened in Chimes are well know of city workers. In 1977 the building was fixed which cost $3 million. It is located in King Street. The main purpose of City Hall is Lord Mayor’s office, convention centre and concert Hall.
