Language Arts: Common Core Language Arts objectives are on-going throughout the year. They are continually revisited. Throughout the year students will read and listen:  For literary experience  To be informed  To enjoy Students will speak and write:  To express personal ideas  To express personal opinion  To explain and inform

Word Study THEN Assigned word lists Little or no connection to curricular areas or each other The weekly assignment: “Find and write a definition for each word,” or “Use each word in a sentence” A test came at the end of the week (rote memorization)

PBIS Rock The Bulldog: Respectful On-Task Cooperative Kind Paw prints will be given out daily by staff members for students exhibiting R.O.C.K.-like behaviors throughout the school day. Students can exchange their paw prints every other Friday from a selection of tangible and non-tangible prizes at our 4 th Grade School Store Dog Club Incentive every other Friday.
