Fifth Grade Homework Policy 1.Assignments are to be turned in on time to the teacher that gave the assignment. If the assignment is forgotten in the student’s homeroom, a homework slip will be issued. No points will be taken away from the assignment grade if the assignment is handed in to that teacher before the end of the day. 2. If the student turns in the assignment the following day, 10% of the final grade will be deducted. If the student turns in the assignment two or more days late, it will only be worth half of the original points. 3. If the homework is incomplete, the student will receive a homework slip.

4. All assignments are expected to be completed. If an assignment is not turned in, the student will be required to complete the assignment during the second recess period. 5. Please note: homework slips will be tallied each Friday in the Friday folder. If there is a concern, please discuss it with your child. They complete every homework slip he/she receives. 6. Six homework slips in one month results in a demerit. If a student should reach ten homework slips in one month, he/she will receive a second demerit. REWARD: Ten credits will be given for zero homework slips at the end of the month
