Rushall Community Base: Things that we do…

Bloxwich Leisure Centre Every Tuesday we visit the leisure centre and go swimming. We have lots of fun in the water. Bowling We use GT Leisure Bowl to go bowling and to meet up with friends and other groups.

Health walks We have plenty of chances to enjoy the canal and nature reserve which are close by. Visits Sometimes we visit local places like the arboretum and Cannock Chase, and sometimes we go to places like Cadbury’s World and the Sea-life Centre.

Friends Together This group meets once a month at Pelsall. It is for old and new friends to meet up, socialise and arrange events and fundraisers. Library We visit the library often to borrow books and to use the internet. We also have the mobile library for people who are not very mobile.

Charity Shop On a Monday and a Wednesday we run a charity shop in Shelfield. We get involve din our community and make new friends. Cooking We make our own lunches and sometimes make dinner to take home for our families.

Art and Craft Lots of us like arts and crafts and we will be thinking about how we can do more of this. Drama and sewing We are now working on our 3 rd play, called ‘Cinderella with Attitude’. We write the script, make the costumes and play the parts.

Exercise On a Wednesday afternoon we take part in ‘Extend’ exercise sessions. They help us with movement, co- ordination and social skills.
