Vasudeva Kutumakam (The world is a family) Common Human Origin

One Landmass  Modern Science tells us that many years ago the world was one big landmass called the Pangaea  Then rifts occurred and the landmasses separated to make different continents, cultures, races, religions and nationalities  That is, we have all come from one common landmass

Common Ancestors  Modern science tells us that many thousands of years ago world was submerged in water. After that life began  The Vedas describe this event as Mahapralay, when there was a great flood and Manu, led by Matsya avatar of Vishnu, put different forms of life on a boat and steered them to safety  In Christianity this episode is famous as Noah’s Ark. The Greeks know it as Deucalion’s Chest and Mesopotamians as Utnapishtim’s boat  You call him Manu or Deucalin or Noah or Utnapishtim, all cultures agree that we have all come from the few who survived the great flood

Similar Sounds and Symbols  Cow is revered across cultures as symbol of nourishment and fertility  Sanskrit is the mother of all languages – similar sounds have similar meanings in different languages  Mayan calendar and architecture is very similar to what is found in this part of the world

Common Ancestors  When it all began, there was no religion, no country, no caste, nor creed so there is no question of who is superior or what came first  There were just beings and they were classified as civilised and uncivilised…and both categories could be found at all places  For example, vedic culture mentions a barbarian by the name of Mahishasur who wore a horned headgear and created disturbance everywhere. Even in west, certain tribes such Galls, Normans, Vikings also wore horned headgear. You will never find horns on the head of civilized beings such as Jesus, St.Francis of Asisi or the vedic seers  Kings of the same empire and same bloodline could be civilized as well as uncivilized. For example, difference between Akbar and Aurangzeb  Our ancestors were super beings, their wisdom and knowledge went far ahead of what modern science is ‘rediscovering’  It is time we shift our focus on what we have inherited rather than argue about who is the heir  Let’s restore the culture for our future generations to preserve the planet and civilized humanity
