Let’s make these sentences more specific by adding information.  I like a group…  I don’t like places…  I remember the day…  I know a person…

Being more specific!  Add a relative clause to add more information to a sentence (about a person, place, thing, moment, etc.) It is a cute cat. Adj. n. It is the cat that is praying to God. n. Relative Clause. God, please protect me from water, and give me more sleep. I want to sleep all day long!

Let’s see how we got to this sentence.  A woman tried to calm her daughter.  Her daughter was crying. What does her in “her daughter” refer to? To “a woman”, so this woman has a daughter.

To omit or not to omit?  I will show you some sentences.  Lift the “OMIT” cards if you can omit the pronoun.  Lift the “DON’T OMIT” if you can’t omit the pronoun.
