Vocabulary Strategies Context Clues-are hints in the text. They help you find the meanings of words. Word Structure- is when parts of a word help you understand a word’s meaning. Apposition-is when a word or group of words define another word in the same sentence.

LOOK CLOSELY…….. Look through your Vocabulary Warm Up to find examples of the three strategies…..

You can use word structure to find the meaning of valuable. You can use context clues to find the meaning of deal. *There are no examples of apposition in the Vocabulary Warm Up for “It’s a Deal.”
