What is Biographical criticism? Biographical criticism is a form of Literary criticism which analyzes a writer's biography to show the relationship between the author's life and their works of literature. This longstanding critical method dates back at least to the Renaissance period

Biographical Criticism has… Two weaknesses

Weakness 1: Equating the work's content with the author's life; they are not necessarily the same.

Weakness 2: Less-than-credible sources of information, particularly works that tend to be highly speculative or controversial unless verified by several sources.
