Extended Year Programs Pre-school and Intensive Pre-school K-5 Learning Center Academic Tutoring K-8 Elementary Social Skills Intermediate Social Skills Intermediate Life Skills DHS Life Skills Related Services: OT, PT, Speech

Pre-school programs Monday/Wednesday Tuesday/Thursday Intensive Pre-school Positive, structured learning environment for students to receive pre-academic skills and to provide social interactions with peers and adults as identified on students’ IEPs Play activities, interactive games and videos, group meetings Integrated services for occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech

Learning Center/Life Skills K-5 group housed at Riverside elementary Middle School Life Skills group grades 6-8 High School Life Skills group grades 9+ Coordinated field trips with Social Skills programs Daily academic lessons and weekly-themed lessons, supplemental arts & crafts

Academic Tutoring Elementary and Middle School level Tutoring in Math, Reading, Writing based on student’s IEP goals in order to prevent regression of skills over summer months Tutors collaborated with other program instructors to develop schedules that would allow for coordination of services (for students with multiple EYS services)

Social Skills Programs Elementary and Intermediate Levels Each program had approximately 15 students Daily social skills instruction: developing friendships, conversation skills, teasing vs. bullying, social norms (eye contact, voice level) and application of skills in large group settings Coordinated off-campus field trips to apply social skills objectives in the community Endicott Park Carnival Endicott Park Fireman’s Muster Sunnyside Bowling Goodie’s Ice Cream New England Aquarium IMAX Lowe’s Theatres (Inside Out)
