What is Partners in Education (PIE)? Established in 1992 and coordinated by the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Links businesses, educators, and community organizations Helps develop necessary skills for school to work transition

Belief Statements We believe…. Lifelong learning is required to achieve one’s goals. Everyone is responsible for fostering learning. Our economic well being is dependent upon a high-quality education system. Improving educational attainment levels is the key to competing more effectively in a knowledge-based economy. Together we can help all learners successfully engage in community life. Our community needs a prepared workforce for a strong economy. Business and education in partnership lead economic development in our community. Proactive business and education leadership fosters effective learning partnerships. Business and education working together fosters a prepared workforce and economic prosperity.

PIE Leadership Partners in Education Executive Board School District Superintendents Private & Public School Representatives Post-Secondary Leaders Business Leaders Community Representatives Students

PIE Executive Board Roles Establish, advocate, and communicate PIE vision, mission, and programs. Approve annual and long-term goals and programs to achieve the Partners in Education mission. Assist in recruiting representation from business and education to serve on the PIE Executive Board and PIE work groups. Participate in regular meetings as a forum for informed discussion about emerging education and economic development issues. Assist in securing businesses to support Partners in Education programming through financial contributions and in monitoring the financial status of the organization. Endorse a process of continuous improvement, review feedback on progress, and promote overall assessment of outcomes.
