Hello everyone!!! My name is Laura Hoppe and I am currently serving as your National Delta Tau Alpha Midwestern Vice President. I was born and raised on a farm in mid-western Missouri where my family owns and operates a large scale beef cattle operation including purebred Charolais and crossbred cattle. We also raise fescue, and put up various varieties of hay. I am currently a junior at the University of Central Missouri majoring in Agricultural Technology- Animal Science, with a minor in Chemistry. I plan to apply to Veterinary school at the University of Missouri Columbia. At school I am the Vice President of our DTA chapter, a member of Collegiate Farm Bureau, President of Sigma Alpha interest group, Agriculture Club, Agriculture Future of America, Wild Life Society, and Pre-Vet Society. At home I am involved in my church, and still volunteer with our county 4-H. When not in the classroom, I enjoy weight lifting, jogging with my dog, and spending as much time as possible working as a veterinary assistant for an equine specialist. In the past I was a 10 year member of 4- H, and was a member of FFA, and FBLA all through high school. I also competitively showed Charolais cattle, Dorset sheep, horses, and dogs through out my childhood. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at convention and I hope that everyone is having a great semester. Sincerely, Laura Hoppe
