I will be: attending all AD meetings, coaches meetings, scheduling, handling coaches and parent concerns, supervision and more. Application forms for MN High School Coaches Association. Coaches at all levels can join and you will get a card that will get you in the majority of high school games and some college games. School covers the cost for head coaches. Head coaches should turn your forms in to Steph today. Travel Waiver: Make sure parents sign the travel waiver to take their child home from an event. The green form is if they need to drive to and from the event. Vehicles: Please sign up for the vehicles once you have your schedule (including winter and spring coaches ). JH Wrestling & Basketball and Spring sports will have their schedules up later in the fall. Weight room: If your teams are lifting before or after practice, they need a coach in the weight room. When you are done, please lock everything up and shut the lights off. Morning Study Hall: If one of your players misses morning study hall, they can NOT attend practice/game on the day they miss morning study hall. All athletes need to be here by 5 th hour to be able to participate in practice/games. If they are not here, they can’t be at practice/games.

Visiting volleyball teams will dress downstairs in the visiting locker room and visiting football teams will dress in girls locker room. Visiting teams will arrive between 4:30-5:00. Camp/After school programs $: Money needs to be turned into Steph and she will pay the bills and workers. LETTERING/EXPECTATIONS: You need to communicate with players and parents your lettering requirements and expectations. Have it in your handbook. Football games on Chauncey Martin Field-if it rains, Trevor makes the call if we play on it or not for JH-JV levels. Karen is working on a system to communicate with coaches who is absent in the morning. If students have appointments past 5 th hour, they need to get prior approval before the appointment. Coaches who need to leave early for games need to work that out with their building principal. At the HS, we have staff who cover their class during their prep time. If your team needs to get out of school early, please send the high school staff the time to get out and the list of students.

 THE  PRE-TRIP

Safety Equipment Every Type III Vehicle Must Include:  First Aid Kit – synthetic vinyl gloves (No Latex)  Body Fluid Clean up/Spill Kit  Fire Extinguisher, charged and in the green zone on the indicator  Triangles-safety warning to other traffic  Seat Belt Cutter – while optional, it is a good practice to carry one and know how it is used  Ensure that if you use any safety equipment you replace it or notify a supervisor to have it replaced.

Know where the safety equipment is stored in your Type III School Bus. In many cases it will be contained in a bag within the vehicle. Body fluid clean up First Aid Kit Triangles, to be placed on roadway to warn other traffic if you break down. Fire extinguisher must be fully charged. Verify this by checking the charge indication arrow is in the green zone.

Be courteous. Remember to always leave the Type III school bus clean after usage.
