Uploading Your Page to the Internet Configuring FTP on Dreamweaver.
Your Work Has Left the Building FTP is one common way of transferring your files from the computer in front of you to the Internet. We will store and access our assignments on the web, so it is essential to follow these instructions very carefully. Terms to keep in mind in these directions are upload or put and download or get. Dreamweaver is just one of several programs that allows you to use FTP to upload your pages.
Step 1: Open DreamWeaver Click on the icon in the Start Menu under All Programs and Web Design
Step 2: Create Dreamweaver Site Click on DreamWeaver Site
Step 3: Name Site and Select Local Folder Changed the terms Unnamed Site to WebGeeks
Step 4: Enter Server Information Click on Server and the plus button to fill out the form as follows: Password = Applesauce15!
Step 5: Save & Test Click Save in the Site Setup window In the lower right corner you should see a Files Tab
Step 5: Continued Click in the Local View button and select Remote Server from the menu Say OK to some stuff it asks and you are ready to start file management!
