Adobe Certified Associate Objectives 6 Evaluating and Maintaining a site

6.1 Conduct basic technical tests Quality assurance Confirm that standard layout structure and elements appear on every page. Check links and buttons on every page. Check spelling on every page. Check that all images have alternative text. Implement any required fixes Does the site work on different browsers Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera, Safari

6.1 Conduct basic technical tests (cont) 1. Start dreamweaver 2. Open your site 3. On Menu bar, select site> check Links Sitewide. 4. Fix broken links and check again.

6.2 Identify techniques for basic usability tests (2.12) User feedback User navigates through site Usability observation Latent behavior (body language, facial expressions) User Interview Implement redesign based on usability test.

6.3 Present web pages to others. (Activity 7.5) Design review Team members and clients Feedback and evaluation Discuss strengths in relation to the goals and target audience. Discuss suggested improvements to he project design. Present redesign to team and clients

6.5 Manage assets, links, and files for a site (SG 2.13/2.11) You can organize and manage site files and folders by using the FILES Panel. Add Open Remove Rename Or delete files and folders

6.6 Publish and update site files to a remote server Dreamweaver site map Get files Put files FTP Local Host Remote host Publish

6.6 Publish and update site files to a remote server (cont) Select site > Manage sites from menu bar. Select name of the site you want to connect to remotely and click Edit. Click the advanced tab and select remote info category. Select FTP in the access information Click Test to test the connection.
