Concept: Following Twitter is as much a listening media as it is a broadcast media. Twitter feeds are like Headlines in a newspaper Twitter enables you to “Follow” the tweets of people, news and companies that are of interest to you in your feed. Use SEARCH to look for people & things that interest you. Select the ones you like and click FOLLOW. Now their tweets will show in your feed.
Composing a tweet Think about what you need to say succinctly Normally any tweet you send can be seen by anyone If you want to send it to someone specific, use their address in the tweet. Where you place in the makes a difference to who can see it: If start a tweet with then only the person following you and the person you are replying to will see the tweet. If you place within the tweet anyone can see this tweet. It will show up in their stream of tweets and they will get an alert to that fact.

#Hastags Put this in your tweet Allows you to connect everyone on Twitter using a certain keyword, putting a “#” in front of it. You can simply click on the hashtag (#hashtag) in your Twitter stream and see all the people mentioning the same keyword Can have some fun with this
Retweeting I told two friends who told two friends…. A retweet is a re-posting of someone else's Tweet. Twitter's retweet feature helps you and others quickly share that Tweet with all of your followers. Sometimes people type RT at the beginning of a Tweet to indicate that they are re-posting someone else's content.
Playing Favorites Favorites, represented by a small star icon next to a Tweet, are most commonly used when users like a Tweet. Favoriting a Tweet can let the original poster know that you liked their Tweet, or you can save the Tweet for later.
Lists A list is a curated group of Twitter users. You can create your own lists or subscribe to lists created by others. Viewing a list timeline will show you a stream of Tweets from only the users on that list.
