You are required to follow all of the rules of CHS. Some of the rules you may want to pay particular attention to include the following: Truancy—You will not receive any credit for work missed due to a truancy. This means you will get a “0” on a test, quiz, participation, or activity if you receive a truancy from the office. Make Up Work—You have two class days for each day of school missed (*excused) to make up the work according to CHS policy. In CIVICS you will be given 14 days to make up any graded assignment from the day we take the grade. (Saturday and Sunday do not count but every Red and White day does count). This applies to regular classroom assignments only Tests,Quizzes, and special projects DO NOT fall under the 14 day rule. This includes computer activities as well as any project we complete.

Tardy Policy—You are expected to be in the classroom when the bell rings and CHS policy will be followed. Cell Phones and Electronic devices—You need to turn your cell phone off during the day. If someone needs to contact you, the office will take a message and get it to you. Any electronic device that is used during class time will be taken and turned in to the office and may result in discipline that could interfere with your classes or your convenience.

Language and behavior—Please respect the right of all students to learn. Each and every one of us has some special talent and you may not know what that is until you have been given a “well rounded education” and a chance to learn in a pleasant and respectful environment. Please act responsibly and respect the right of others to be given the chance to learn and be successful at CHS by speaking politely and acting respectfully. Profanity: Inappropriate language will not be tolerated in the class. The consequences of this behavior will be left to my discretion, (detention, administration) so please honor the right of everyone to learn and not feel threatened by using appropriate language.
