March 4, High Voltage Requirements A draft requirements document exists: A workshop has been scheduled for 4/20/01 WH12W in the morning (9:00 – 12:30) FCC2A in the afternoon (1:30 – 5:00) I need to know who will attend by video (FNAL + 3 slots reserved)

March 4, High Voltage Summary Detector Subsystem PolarityMax # of channels (without spares) Voltage Range Current Range Readback Precision PixelsNegative nA – 10 mA 0.1% of full scale V & I SSD’sPositive nA – 10 mA 0.1% of full scale V & I StrawsPositive3700~ – 10  A 0.5% of full scale V; 1% I RICHNegative Positive kV-22kV 10kV-17kV – 100 nA 0 – 10  A 0.1% FS V;1% I 0.1% FS V;10% I EM Cal.Negative – 10 mA 0 – 2 mA 0 – 0.5 mA 0 – 0.1 mA 0.02% FS V; 0.1% I 0.01% FS V; 0.1% I Muon Chambers Positive2496~ – 12  A 1% FS V & I

March 4, Are these requirements reasonable? Number of channels is very large. Do straws & muon chambers need an HV channel for every group of 32 wires? Does every pixel (SSD) sensor need an individual HV channel? V,I Ranges & Readback specs okay? Please check & send (to me at with suggestions for changes.
