Social Studies Team 7M Mrs. Lanter

Once upon a time… there was a little girl.

Her Mom was a teacher; and her Dad was a preacher.

She loved children more than anything and often dreamed of having children of her own.

When the man of her dreams failed to appear, she decided to become a teacher like her Mom.

She really liked school and studied at: Gordon Jr. College in Barnesville, GA Gordon Jr. College in Barnesville, GA Augusta College in Augusta, GA Augusta College in Augusta, GA UGA in Athens, GA UGA in Athens, GA East Carolina University in Greenville, NC East Carolina University in Greenville, NC University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii University of Hawaii in Honolulu, Hawaii Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, GA

She didn’t think life could get any better…. …when suddenly, it did!

She married the greatest man in the world, Jeffrey Lanter!

Then, just when she thought it couldn’t get any better… …it did!

Her daughters, Rachel and Carrie, were born just 14 months apart.

Rachel’s a Georgia Southern graduate and teaches at Encore Academy in New Orleans, LA. She’s engaged to Mark, a Marine. They are planning a summer wedding for 2016.

Carrie graduated from Georgia Southern last May and is working in Greenville, NC. She’s looking for a new job closer to home.

Then, along came another surprise! Our son, Wesley, was born August 1 st of 2004! Our son, Wesley, was born August 1 st of 2004!

Those “babies” are 25, 24, and 11 now, but my once upon a time gets better every day! Now, I get to teach YOUR “baby”. I couldn’t be more happy or more humbled by the awesome responsibility and honor it is to teach your child.

Almost the end…

When that little girl we spoke of earlier imagined children of her own, she never dreamed she’d have 4000… and counting.

And she never imagined it could get any better… …but it will!

Thanks for all your support! We’re looking forward to an excellent year in 7M Social Studies!
