Contract N°: IEE/11/BWI/507/SI Project duration: – National context Buildings make a substantial contribution to Latvia’s emissions Latvia skills gaps are more and more filled by individuals without the necessary training Major outputs & expected results Trigger deep discussions in Latvia about training and qualification of the workforce in the building sector. Formation of a National qualification platform, where relevant stakeholders can have a word in preparing the Latvian roadmap to 2020; The roadmap as such, prepared based on contribution and confrontation with market and industry players and stakeholders; The endorsements of the roadmap by national authorities, that have the political and institutional instruments, which are necessary for starting BUILD UP Skills Initiatives. Endorsement from other players is as well as an output of the project; Endorsement from national authorities will start the process of putting the roadmap in force, implementing the suggested measures.
